My name is Niki Burnett and I am the owner of Forging Nails Salon & Beauty here in Georgetown, Texas. Originally born in Toledo, Ohio, I worked as a nail technician and hairstylist. However, I had always envisioned myself as a city girl . After nine years of working in the salon and teaching others, I decided it was time to finally take the leap.

 

I moved to New York City and that’s where I lived for the past 25 years. While in NYC I took a break from the beauty industry and worked in fine dining for some of the country’s best chefs.  New York was amazing and exposed me to so many things that have shaped me into the person I am today! Metalworking being one of them. I love to weld and forge and enjoy making functional pieces. I look forward to one day having my own studio where I can hammer and grind whenever I like! (This should explain  how I came up with the name of the salon)

 

As we all know, life is full of twists and turns and It was one of those turns that landed me here in Texas. 

Tired of working endless hours in such demanding environments and needing flexibility in my schedule to forge, there was only one option… be my own boss again! 

 

So I decided to focus only on nails and specialize in Russian Manicures with structured gel overlays. I immediately took a 3 day hands on workshop and got certified from one of the top Russian Manicurists in the US. I Worked on my new technique and sought out the highest quality and safest products available for the next 6 months. After that, Forging Nails Salon and Beauty was born.  I’m loving my studio and want to share it with all of you! -OR- (I’m loving my studio and hope you will too)!
